How to assemble BJDs

• the thicker elastic is 2-2,5mm thick and you’ll need approximately 150cm of it.
• the thinner elastic we use is 1,7mm thick and you’ll need less than 40cm of it.

The thicker the elastic is the longer it stays tight and the better pulling force it has. But thicker elastic is naturally more difficult to get through.

The amount of elastic depend on how much do you cut off when you finish assembling a part. You’ll always need more elastic than what seems to go inside of the doll, as you’ll need it to reach to outside of the doll without it being stretched. For example, grabbing the elastic for making a knot, is much easier if you have a loose elastic than if you’re holding the ends of stretched elastic and hoping that it won’t escape you and run hiding into the pieces.
