Salvador is ready and available!

I don’t think that it has really sunk in yet that my first doll is finally ready for the world. My first completely finished ball jointed dragon doll Salvador is ready for anybody who would offer it a home. I started working on this doll at the beginning of the year. It feels so long ago! Past few weeks from my perspective (and an apology for my TikTok audience)

The past few weeks have been really tough for me. I’ve worked very long days trying to get everything ready for the launch. During the summer I was certain that we could launch in August. In August I was certain that we could launch in September. The delays weren’t up to me. I would’ve launched sooner if it was possible, I wanted to do it as soon as possible. In October things started looking ready and I worked more than anybody should in the given time. But here we are, it’s November and I can finally say that the groundwork is done and we’re ready for launch.

These delays made me feel really bad for one reason: my poor TikTok audience. Salvador got such an amazing response. People were asking when and where would it be available. I kept giving estimations and they were all wrong. This was hard for me. I wanted to deliver but wasn’t able to. I stopped posting for a while because I felt like I’ve let you down. So if you know me from TikTok and have been waiting for the doll for a long time, I’m sorry for the mess that my launch timing estimations were. Now the doll is finally available.

I must say, there is no entrepreneurship guide available that would cover what you really must go through. I’ve been laughing with anger at every single video that tells you starting your art business or any kind of business is easy. Why am I targeted with these #smallbusiness stuff all the time. *Laughs. It’s really not that entertaining now that I’ve seen the reality. Well, I guess half of it. I don’t yet know what happens now, but I’m sure it’s not rainbows and sunshine. I do want to share the joy of creating and building your own life as you want it, but as I mentioned before there is way too much sugar-coated content out there. I actually made a TikTok video about the matter to share my feelings at the time. I was going through the horrors of coding, law, and web hosting things. Which for your information are very very very far from my interests and comfort zone.

Overall I am excited and happy, I can’t wait to see what the future brings. This has been my dream for so long (years). Right now I am just somewhat exhausted and there is more work to be done. I hope you enjoy my content and my art, your feedback and kind words are always (but now more than ever) highly welcome and appreciated. Speaking of art, Cesar and I have planned an art event that takes place 5th – 21st of this month. I can’t wait to see what you create!
