Salvador – Dragons of the World 2022 event custom doll
This Salvador was customized during the Dragons of the World 2022 event by our in-house artist Petra. The doll was one one the competition rewards but it was not claimed by the winner. The design was inspired by the theme of the event. The whole artwork was done during the event in order to participate in the fun with the participants of the event and celebrate art and the fun community that we had built.
NOTICE: This is a collectible art piece for adults. Not for children!
Mailing time
The doll will be mailed to you within a week of your order.
Materials
Our goal is to provide you with high-quality products and high-quality materials. The base of the doll has been sculpted by hand and was recreated using 3D modeling method. We make our dolls out of Nylon (polyamide) and they’re held together by elastic bands.
Nylon
- Highly durable material. The doll should not break in normal use
- The surface is matte and grey because of the carbon in the material. The carbon nylon’s finish is smoother than our regular white nylon material.
- Exposure to direct sunlight for long periods of time may alter the color of the doll
Elastic bands
Elastic bands allow changing the doll’s position as desired. Bands’ tightness affects the posability of the doll.
NOTICE: Elastic strings may lose their pulling force over time. You might need to replace the strings with new ones. Assembling instructions of Salvador are here.
Details
- Salvador was dyed using iDyePoly.
- The additions to the doll were made using Apoxy sculpt which is a very durable material.
- Wings were made by layering watercolor paper and attaching that to altered original wing parts. The wings were painted with watercolors and varnished for protection.
- The paint job on the doll has been made with acrylic paints and Posca markers.
